Designer, art director, entrepreneur
Giclee Ink Inc. www.gicleeink.net
Experience:
Marilyn Slocum, founder of Giclee Ink, has 20 years of experience as a graphic
designer and art director and she has achieved recognition as an award winning
artist. Her desire to give back to the arts community led her to create Giclee
Ink, a company producing limited-edition fine art and photographic prints. The
Giclee printing process allows artists to print in limited editions on canvas,
watercolor paper, or even fabric. Marilyn has her B.F.A. in Graphic Design from
Ringling School of Art and Design.
Current Projects:
In addition to helping artists reach their potential by providing full graphic
services, Giclee Ink is partnering with artists and non-profit organizations
to help them tell their stories. One such example is the limited-edition prints
that Mary GrandPre, the illustrator for the Harry Potter books, is creating for
The Wellness Community to inspire the art of healing.
Insight:
Marilyn loves nature and enjoys hiking, biking and fly fishing when not making
art. Family keeps her and husband, Bill, busy with life. Daughter Molly and son-in-law
Joe have given her the distinct honor of being "Mimi" to 3-year-old
Margot.
